Direct answer
KingSong Stolen Vehicle Protection is KingSong’s official verification process for a Stolen Vehicle Lock Request. KingSong may apply a Stolen Vehicle Lock only after current ownership is verified; supporting theft details are reviewed as needed for the case. A serial number alone is never enough. Commercial dealer disputes are outside this feature. After a vehicle is recovered, the owner submits a Recovered Vehicle Unlock Request.
Bluetooth / in-app vehicle lock for day-to-day security is separate from a Stolen Vehicle Lock, which KingSong considers only after a complete Stolen Vehicle Lock Request and ownership/theft verification under this policy.
When will KingSong consider locking a vehicle?
KingSong will consider a Stolen Vehicle Lock only when all of the following are true at a policy level:
- The requester submits a Stolen Vehicle Lock Request for a KingSong electric unicycle.
- The packet includes the minimum required materials: vehicle serial number and proof of current ownership.
- KingSong’s review supports that the requester is the verified current owner (or an authorized representative acting for that owner with acceptable proof).
- The circumstances support that the vehicle was reported stolen, and any additional theft details or police report materials requested by KingSong Support have been reviewed.
KingSong does not treat a social-media claim, a serial number message, or an unverified tip as a complete request. If materials are incomplete or current ownership is not clearly established, the request will not be approved.
Required information
For a Stolen Vehicle Lock Request, KingSong requires clear evidence identifying the vehicle and demonstrating current ownership. Missing core information means the request cannot be evaluated:
| Item | Requirement level | What to provide | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vehicle serial number | Required | The full serial number that uniquely identifies the KingSong electric unicycle. | Identifies the exact vehicle under review. |
| Proof of current ownership | Required | Invoice, order confirmation, bill of sale, or transfer documentation connecting the requester to the vehicle. | Demonstrates that the requester is the legitimate current owner entitled to request a lock. |
| KingSong App / account details | If available | KingSong App account details tied to the vehicle, if previously registered or bound. | Helps correlate the vehicle record with the owner account. If an account was never registered, Support will advise on alternative ownership verification; lack of an App account does not prevent review. |
| Theft details | Contextual | Date and time window, approximate location, how the theft was discovered, and current status. | Provides incident context for evaluating the lock request. |
| Police report materials | May be requested | Official police report, incident reference number, or formal filing proof from local law enforcement. | KingSong Support may request police report materials when needed for the case to corroborate official reporting. |
Key ownership principles:
- Single-document satisfaction: Proof of purchase and proof of ownership can be satisfied by a single sufficient document when it clearly establishes current ownership (for example, an original retail receipt or invoice naming the requester).
- Past purchase is not current ownership: Proof of past purchase does not necessarily prove current ownership. In secondary sales or vehicle transfers, a prior owner may still retain an old receipt, but that receipt alone does not authorize a remote lock after ownership has changed hands.
How to submit: Email the request packet to [email protected]. As of this writing, kingsong.com does not use an automated submission portal; all requests are reviewed manually by KingSong Support via email.
What happens after a Stolen Vehicle Lock Request is submitted?
- Intake: KingSong receives the email packet and checks whether the vehicle serial number and current ownership evidence are present.
- Verification: KingSong reviews ownership documentation and theft details. Support may ask follow-up questions or request clearer copies.
- Decision: KingSong may approve a Stolen Vehicle Lock, request additional verification, or decline if ownership cannot be established.
- Lock action (only if approved): If approved, KingSong may apply a Stolen Vehicle Lock to the identified vehicle.
Owners should keep secure copies of all purchase records, ownership documents, and police filing materials. Timely review depends on legible and consistent records.
What is this feature NOT used for?
- Not for commercial dealer disputes. Unpaid invoices, wholesale disagreements, warranty arguments, or business contract conflicts are strictly outside the scope of Stolen Vehicle Protection.
- Not for serial-number-only tips. Merely possessing or sharing a serial number does not authorize a lock without verified proof of current ownership.
- Not for personal disputes or remote retaliation. KingSong Stolen Vehicle Protection is an anti-theft safety workflow, not a mechanism to disable a vehicle over private disagreements or non-theft grievances.
- Not a substitute for local law enforcement. Owners should still follow local law-enforcement processes where applicable; KingSong review does not replace those processes.
What happens if a stolen vehicle is recovered?
If the vehicle is recovered, the verified owner should submit a Recovered Vehicle Unlock Request to [email protected].
- Identify the vehicle (including full serial number) and reference the prior Stolen Vehicle Lock Request if available.
- Provide ownership re-verification so KingSong can confirm the unlock requester matches the established ownership record.
- KingSong considers unlock only after re-verification is completed — vehicle recovery alone without an unlock request packet cannot trigger an automatic unlock.
What should I do if I believe my wheel was locked by mistake?
Contact KingSong Support at [email protected] and clearly state that you are reporting a possible incorrect lock, rather than requesting a stolen-vehicle lock.
Include your vehicle model, serial number, a description or screenshot of the issue, and any purchase or ownership information you already have. Ask our support team to review the lock record and advise what additional information is needed.
Please send supporting documents privately to [email protected]. Do not post ownership documents, account passwords, or verification codes in public comments.
About the recent F18 locking incident
A recent case involving a KingSong F18 and a Stolen Vehicle Lock drew public discussion. KingSong treats any incorrect or improperly gated lock as a serious process failure.
This policy page outlines KingSong’s standing rules and verification requirements. Specific case facts belong in an official case update (when published) rather than informal discussions.
KingSong’s intended process principles distinguish two verification checkpoints (stated here as process goals, not as a claim that every historical request already used both):
- Verifying applicant eligibility to ensure the requester has proven legitimate current ownership.
- Verifying that the target vehicle matches the approved request before any lock command is executed.
Future operational safeguards are intended to strengthen these checkpoints — for example secondary verification steps and operation logging — as core process goals.
